MODERN SCHOOL OF FLOWERS: Ode on a Spring Urn

125.00

Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 1pm - 3pm
Esters Wine Shop & Bar, 1314 7th Street, Santa Monica

Big hair, don’t care!

We will be creating tall urn arrangements to show off the best blooms the season has to offer.

Spring arrives with blossoming branches and is the beginning of the year’s bounty of fruit and flowers. We will work with a variety of materials with a focus on locally sourced blossoming branches, greenery, and fruit, including quince, cherry, and magnolia branches, kumquats and dates, tulips, sweet peas, ranunculus, and others.

Participants will receive a hands-on lesson in how to build a loose, garden-inspired urn arrangement. We will discuss structure and form, the subtleties of color, and honoring the gesture of each flower and leaf.

Flowers, vases, tools, and bubbles to drink provided. Each participant will take home their own floral arrangement.

Limited seats available.
